Ebook Procurement Must Serve All Students

Digital content is on the rise in classrooms across the country. Much of this content comes in the form of ebooks. Unfortunately, not all ebooks are accessible to students unable to read standard print due to low vision, blindness, or dyslexia. Procurement staff—either at the state or school-district level—must know what to look for in order to identify and procure content that works for all students.

Benetech Showcases Leading Edge Literacy Initiatives at 32nd Annual CSUN Conference

Assistive technology — whether it’s a mobile app or a modified wheelchair — can transform the lives of people with disabilities. The latest in the field of assistive technology will be the focus of the world’s largest gathering of people who develop or use assistive technology, taking place at the 32nd Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference from February 27-March 3 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. The Benetech team is excited to have a significant presence at the conference and showcase the latest developments in three key initiatives dedicated to making literacy accessible to all.

Bookshare Members Now Have Access to Over 500,000 Ebooks
